The Vision

Andrew Carmedelle, Kory Kautz, Vidie Pong and Benjamin Smith make up Team Play My Guitar (PMG, click to learn more). Our goal was to construct a system that would take input from a Guitar Hero controller and relay that to a mechanism that would play a real guitar. 

The Product

Our product fulfilled our vision almost completely. It is able to take input from a Guitar Hero controller and use that information to control both a fingering mechanism for the chords and a strumming mechanism. The system only needs some fine-tuning (no pun intended) to play the guitar so that the chords sound cleaner.
